Network Integration Services
DNS Connections Network Integration Services are based on a consultative approach with the
customer and determines the project goals. We use tuned industry best practices to create project
phases knowing that each customers requirement is different.
Clients engaging DNS Connections require a staff that is fully trained and can
support the hardware or software being deployed. Experienced with various
hardware and software vendors and carrying several certifications from these
vendors give us a leading edge in design and working knowledge of the products
sell or maintain for our customers.
Network integration services we offer include but are not limited to:
Specify hardware or software - Once we have worked with the customer on the project scope.
DNS Connections will work on developing the hardware and/or software requirements for the
solution.
Scope development - Scope development helps set timelines and
responsibilities to successfully manage the lifecycle of the implementation,
ongoing maintenance and support structure.
Equipment assembly and staging - DNS Connections assemble and stage equipment based on
the customer predetermined location in preparation for the configuration work to commence.
Implementation of the project scope - Configuration tasks are implemented and tested across
the hardware or software platform in accordance with the project scope.
Final testing and sign-off - Closing the implementation schedule by testing the finished work and
handing the "keys" over to the customer. At this point the project rolls to a maintain status where
any patches are applied according to the maintenance schedule.
Our typical implementation lifecycle includes important steps for successful and
timely implementation:
Router configurations - Supported vendors include Cisco, Nortel, Juniper, Linksys and more...
LAN switching - Vendors include Cisco, 3COM, HP, and the Linksys line... Switch work includes
10/100/GIG and the newer 10GB ethernet switching solution for high capacity data center
environments.
Security services - Incorporating Firewall, VPN, anti-virus and content filtering solutions all take
aim at mitigating network threats. The deployment of these components greatly reduces
downtime due to exploits in the customer environment.
Server deployment and virtualization - With greater processing and storage packed into a
more dense computing environment, customers can truly move to a smaller working footprint.
This footprint reduces server sprawl and the need for more resources to support the operation.
IP Telephony - Brings converged network services to the business and leverages technology to
drive total cost of ownership down. This convergence leads to greater end user flexibility, mobility
and location transparency to customers while maximizing investments in the infrastructure.
